COST OF APPLICATION

There is no application fee for SC/ST candidates but Registration Fee of Rs.2/- is to be paid, by every candidate. SC/ST students can get the application at free of cost by submitting the community certificate copy.
A candidate interested in applying for more than one course should submit separate application for each course.

*Tuition Fee waived by the Govt. for all the students of UG Courses and for SC / ST Students at PG level

Instructions

Students must apply for admission for both UG and PG courses only through ONLINE (www.pachaiyappascollege.edu.in) and the cost of application must be paid through online.
The xerox copies of +2 mark sheet(s), community and the transfer certificate must be attached with the application while sending by post to the Principal, Pachaiyappa’s College, Chennai-30.
The Rank List will be published in the website of the College (www.pachaiyappascollege.edu.in) after the last date.
The admission offer letter will be sent to the students mail ID / by post, as per the communal roster and rank basis.
Selected Candidates will have to pay the tuition fee and other fees immediately after the receipt of admission offer letter. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances
If an applicant has a degree from any university of institution other than the University of Madras, he/she should produce a provisional eligibility certificates from the University of Madras.
The Students and / or their parents must follow the guidelines strictly in wearing mask, maintaining social distance, as given by the Government, while coming to the College for admission process.

UNIFORM SPAN PERIOD FOR COMPLETION OF UG AND PG DEGREE PROGRAMME TO QUALITY FOR A DEGREE

As per the decision of UGC communicated by the Registrar, University of Madras vide his letter No.V3/SI/ACS’17/2017- 18/557,dated 08/02/2018, uniform span period for completion of UG and PG degree programme to qualify for a degree, to take effect from the academic year 2020-21 and thereafter.
A student who, for whatever reasons, is not able to complete the programme within the normal period or the minimum duration prescribed for the programme, may be allowed two years period beyond the normal period to clear the backlog to be qualified for the degree, (UG minimum period of 3 years +2 years extension) (PG minimum period of 2 years +2 years extension).
In Exceptional cases, like major accidents and child birth, an extension of one year will be considered beyond the maximum span of Time.
Students qualifying during the extended period shall not be eligible for RANKING.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

NCC: This is the only college having two units of NCC viz., INFANTRY & NAVY
NSS: Similarly, this is the only college in Tamilnadu having five units of NSS along with a separate unit of Youth Red Cross Society.

HOSTEL

There is a hostel attached to the college with accommodation for about 350 men students only. Hostel accommodation cannot be claimed as a matter of right by joining the college.
